| Baba, Lallu share Showa Mathwar Kesari dangal title | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 23: In a tough fight that lasted for 30 minutes and remained undecided, wrestler Lallu of Bajrangi Akhara and Baba of Kot Bhalwal were declared joint winners of the Showa Mathwar Kesari dangal held at Showa, 33 kilometers from here.
Dangal, wherein 45 bouts decided, was organized by Showa Dangal Committee under the overall supervision of its president Mool Raj and Sarpanch Mumtaz Ahmed. Bahujan Samaj Party state general secretary, Rakesh Wazir was chief guest, who gave away the cash prizes to those wrestlers excelling in this dangal.
In the second main bout, Amir Khan of Nargara defeated Vijay of Bain Bajalta while third bout went to Naresh of Showa, who outplayed Baj Singh of Ban Batara. The four main bout won by Javed Khan of Nargara beating Anil of Pargwal. Swarn Singh of Jammu clinched the fifth bout trouncing Rajat of Delhi. However, Rajat compensated his defeat by winning the sixth bout against Balwan of Dayaran. Showa Dangal Committee members and technical officials who helped in conduct of grand wrestling event included Dwarka Nath, Allah Mahi, Master Ram Dayal, Shiv Kumar, Suraj Mani, Govind Ram, Dr Ravi, Master Mangat Ram and Pandit Des Raj. President Dangal Committee Mool Raj thanked the people for making the Dangal a grand success .Others present included Gardhari Lal, Bagh Hussain, Ganesh Dass, Prem Nath Bhagat and Raj Paul Singh. Meanwhile, the Dangal Committee also honoured Lamberdar Dwarka Nath for donating five kanal of land to the Middle school Showa. |
