Jammu, Sept 25: Metlife, among the leading private life insurers in Jammu and Kashmir has settled two claims within 24 hours of receiving the intimation in Ramban and Ganderbal districts. According to press release, MetLife has set up dedicated Claim Processing Camps in the valley to support disaster victims with Jammu & Kashmir Bank. In response to the floods in the valley, Metlife has established these special camps to ensure faster and hassle free claim settlement. The claim process is much simplified and requires minimal documentation for the customers. Additionally the company has obtained a special approval from the regulator to offer a 6 month grace period for existing policyholders to pay their premiums. Speaking on the occasion, Tarun Chugh, MD & CEO, MetLife said, "We express our sincere condolences to the aggrieved families and victims of the floods in Jammu & Kashmir. In this hour of need, we are committed to helping and supporting our customers, employees and the local community. We are relieved to share that all our employees are now safe. For our customers, we have simplified our claim processing and set up camps across the state and have a dedicated helpline for them as well. We are also providing our customers with a six month grace period for due premium payment." He added, "We have also set up a panel of doctors with our partners Health India and Mera Doctor to help our customers and employees. These doctors will be based out of Jammu, Srinagar, Punjab, Mumbai and NCR and will be to assist over the phone." |
