| SDM holds meeting with Sarpanches | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 25: Sub District Magistrate (SDM) Ghagwal, S.Charan Jeet Singh today held a meeting with Panches and Sarpanches of the area.
The meeting was attended by all the Sarpanches of Block Ghagwal. During the meeting tread bare discussion were held and all sector wise progress were reviewed and instructions were issued to the officers of the department to attend the problem of people and ensure immediate redressal.
The speaker pointed out that due to damage of Transformer, electricity as well as water supply have been affected, they also pointed out that transformer have been damaged for the last 10-20 days but not restored till date. Assistant Executive Engineer PDD said that due to damage of workshop, the transformers have not been repaired. The matter has been telephonically discussed with Executive Engineer PDD & PHE for early restoration. The Sarpanches of the area opposed the opening of Sabzi Mandi and showed their resentment and demanded that mandi should not be opened there.
Regarding damages due to flood, Cases in respect of houses damage, crop, and livestock are in progress and relief shall be given shortly. Sub Divisional Magistrate asked all the sarpanchs that blockage of road is not a solution of problem and avoid such type of practice.
Accordingly directions were issued to all departments to remain in touch with the public and mitigate the problems. |
