| CCI president calls on Commissioner Commercial Taxes | | | | Jammu, Sept 25: Chamber of Commerce Industry (CCI) president Rakesh Gupta along with the office bearers today called on Commissioner Commercial taxes Jammu. According to press release, CCI president apprised him of the prevailing situation in the state of Jammu and Kashmir after the recent flash floods where after the business community has almost gone bankrupt with the scale of losses. Traders and Industrialists are in no position to make the payments in lieu of VAT to be collected. As they requested to commissioner to consider the demands including to extend the date for both depositing of VAT for the 2nd quarter for 6 months, to extend the date for the filing of returns, to extend the date for the filing of audited annual returns, to cancel any warrants issued by the DC recoveries to recover the arrears for the time being, to announce amnesty scheme for past arrears pertaining to interest and penalties. |
