Jammu, Sept 27: The policy of Union Government to increase the usage and popularity of Hindi in the offices and other departments under its control for wider acceptability of Hindi as official language of the country, Powergrid northern region transmission system-II today organized several programmes of Hindi Pakhwada. During the function, Hindi Computer typing, Debates and Poem recitation competitions were conducted for the employees and their family members at all site offices and substations spread in entire region comprising states of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and UT Chandigarh. J.P. Singh, and S.K. Sharma Executive Directors NR-II along with other senior officers, and their family members were also present on the occasion. Around 50 prizes were distributed amongst the wining participants by these higher officials. Both the directors of NR-II appreciated the efforts of Power grid in spreading the usage of Hindi amongst its employees. Providing facilities to employees in learning the Hindi, making working in Hindi possible on computers, implementing various incentive schemes for employees to encourage them to do official work in Hindi and are notable contributions from the power grid management in this regard. |
