Early Times Report
CHATROO (KISHTWAR), Sept 27: Parachute politicians, who had won Lok Sabha elections by riding on Modi Wave, now started facing heat of the common masses because such politician has failed to come to the expectation of the people.
Dr Jitendra Singh, who had won Lok Sabha election from Udhampur-Doda Parliament seat is example of such parachute politicians. Dr Jitendra Singh had not only won elections by riding on Modi Wave, he also got the opportunity to become Minister from quota of Jammu and Kashmir.
After his appointment as Minister in the Government headed by Narendra Modi people had high hopes from Dr Jitendra Singh but these hopes were dashed within a month's time. And the recent flood and rains have further exposed insensitivity of Dr Jitendra Singh. Over two dozen bodies of ill-fated residents of Saddal village, which is part of Dr Jitender Singh's constituency, are still buried under debris for the last twenty days but Dr Singh as their representative has failed to heed their woes. The Union Minister has yet to visit the affected village.
Dr Jitendra Singh's magic has started eroding and its latest example is his Kishtwar tour. On his first day district Kishtwar tour of Dr Jitendra Singh, ended on descent note as the magic of BJP stalwart fails to pull up the crowd at public venue Helipad ground Chatroo where Jitendra was scheduled to address the public rally. Newly created Sub-Division Chatroo is having a population of around thirty thousand.
Dr Jitendra Singh after seeing the gathering from the chopper decided not to land and left for Kishtwar where he was schedule to address the gathering of Kishtwar constituency. The decision of not landing his chopper at Chatroo by Jitendra comes as a shock for many Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) activists who turn red face soon after they saw that chopper left from the Chatroo area and later was also flashed by the administration that Union Minister has decided not to address schedule public address at Chatroo.
This is Jitendra's first public rally at Chatroo after Parliament elections. The cancellation of Jitendra's program becomes the matter of discussion in local tea stalls, shops and among the people of Sub-Division Chatroo.
According to eye-witnesses only 100 people were turned up to listen Dr Jitendra Singh so the Minister was forced to cancel his rally.
The BJP party who once manage to get over 10,000 votes in Inderwal constituency in 2008 Assembly election, reduce to rubble in Inderwal.
It is believed that in the coming Assembly elections BJP has to face the music for encouraging such parachute politicians who are insensitive towards woes of the common masses.
