Jammu, Sept 27: The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM), University of Jammu in continuation with the celebration of "Fête du Tourisme" on World Tourism Day and as a part of its extension activities, collected food grains, clothes and other food items etc for the victims affected by the recent floods in J & K. Prof. Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director, SHTM, Dr. Anil Gupta, Assistant Professor, Dr. Suvidha Khanna, Assistant Professor along with the other faculty members and students of the School visited the flood victims residing in Rambagh (a village near Satwari) and donated various relief material collected by them. Prof. Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director of the School briefed us that this initiative was in consonance with this year's theme of the World Tourism Day 'Tourism and Community Development. The coordinators of the activity were Dr. Anil Gupta and Dr. Suvidha Khanna, Assistant Professor, SHTM. The main sponsors were Mr. Vikrant Dogra, Federation of Indian blood donor organizations, Mr. Bharat Choudhary, KC Industries. Bubneshwar Gandotra, General Secretary, Jammu Heritage Society and MD Kailash Cafeteria. |
