Dr Jitendra announces college for Paddar, VHF tower for Machail

KISHTWAR, Sept 27: At the conclusion of his extensive two-day tour of district Kishtwar covering remote areas including Dachan, Chhatroo, Gulabgarh and Machail, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) today announced a Degree College as well as a Medical Ambulance for Paddar and a Very High Frequency (VHF) Signal Tower for Machail.
Both these projects are in pipeline and the work on College will begin as soon as the land for the purpose is acquired with the assistance of the State government, he added. Dr. Jitendra Singh said , he was also pursuing with the concerned Ministries the issues of Chitto and Gandhari project as well as inclusion of Machail in tourist circuit.
Speaking to Party workers and media persons at Kishtwar, Dr. Jitendra Singh said that during the election campaign, he had personally experienced difficulties arising due to inaccessibility, lack of telecommunication and poor road connectivity in these areas and therefore, through today's announcement, he had tried to fulfill at least three of the major promises made by him during the election campaign.
Dr Jitendra Singh also informed that the issue of compensation to the victims of Kishtwar riots of last year had been taken up with the Union Home Ministry which had in turn asked for status report from State government and now the District Administration had been advised to find ways and means of compensating even those who had lost moveable properties lodged in transport vehicles, etc.
In addition, Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the recruitment rallies and recruitment camps for paramilitary forces will be started soon in the area and a formal request for this has already been submitted to the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. This will also help in addressing unemployment among the youth, he added.
