| Jammu, Sept 27 : In a bizarre case of negligence, a private Diagnostic Centre 'NIDAAN' situated in Gandhi Nagar, put the life of the patient on risk by providing her the wrong report of the blood group. However, the customer of the Diagonstic Centre had a narrow escape when doctors operating her said that she had no need for blood infusion as she had requisite blood in her body. Later, after the operation, the family went back to their home in Udhampur and after some time they again went for medical checkup and got conducted their medical tests in another private laboratory. Now the reports of the blood group was A positive which was opposite of the prior reports which showed her blood group as B Negative. Following this the family got tensed and against went to NIDAAN Diagnostic Centre in Gandhi Nagar and again got conducted their blood group. The new blood group of the patient was A positive. Pertinently, the her blood groujp was shown in the report as B negative, while her blood group was in fact A positive.Later, her husband namely Vikram Manhas, lodged complaint against the Private Diagnostic Centre namely NIDAAN with the Gandhi Nagar police station. A senior police officer when contacted confirmed the reports and said that Gandhi Nagar police have received a complaint in this connection, adding, investigation has been set into motion. |
