| Cong activist cheated by Minister, calls upon Sonia to reimburse money | | |

Jammu,Sept 28: One of the senior ministers in coalition government had failed to reimburse to a party activist which he was asked to spend for organising a party function in outskirts of Jammu city during the laying of foundation of a private hospital here over five years back.
The party activist has now petitioned before the All India Congress Commmitee chief , Sonia Gandhi seeking her intervention in the matter and return of money to him. In his letter to the AICC chief, the activist has alleged that he was asked by one of the senior ministers in the coalition government to make the seating arrangements by installing chairs, tent etc at the venue of the function which was to be addressed by a senior minister after laying the foundation stone of hospital. The Congress activist in his petition said that he had bought the chairs ,tents etc,, from a private dealer in the city whom he had to pay Rs. 4 lakh. The said dealer later forced him to seek the bank loan to pay him the money. The party activist has asked Gandhi to intervene immediately so that he can repay the loan. The party activist warned that in case it failed to pay him the said money he will resort to fast unto death before the AICC headquarters in New Delhi. The party activist in his petition said that his party is in great distress as they have to pay a huge amount to the bank which has now doubled with interest.
He said the bank has also warned him to seal his premises in case he failed to return the money with interest .He said being a poor person he is unable to pay the money to the bank. He also demanded action against the minister and senior Congress leader for not paying the money though he has approached him several times.
