| Threatened by anti-social elements widow of martyr seeks DGP's intervention | | | Early Times Report
Bhaderwah, Sept 28 : Threatened by some anti-social elements, the widow of a police constable, who sacrificed his life while fighting with militants 1993, has sought Director General of Police (DGP) intervention for security of her family.Addressing a press conference, here today, the widow of martyr, Syeeda Begum of village Basti of Bhaderwah has alleged that some anti-social elements were threatening her whole family and they were under the shadow of fear.Syeeda said her husband late Gulam-Nabi Sheikh died for the nation and when militants killed her after that they also brunt their house and added that now some anti-social elements who were arrested by security forces in various criminal cases were mentally harassing her son Farooq Ahmed Sheikh.She alleged that said some people also made wrong complaints before Senior Police officers only to disturb the family of a martyr soldier. She demanded from DGP Jammu and Kashmir to personnel look into the matter and grill those elements who are hell-bent to defame and damage family of martyr who are living in a far flung village of Bhaderwah. |
