MVD organizes awareness camp | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 4: As a part of the ongoing Road Safety Awareness drive for sensitizing the school and college students, the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) today organized an awareness camp at Alexander Memorial School Jammu to educate the students about the importance of the observing of traffic and road safety rules. Films on road safety were shown to the students highlighting the need for responsible conduct while using school buses. A power point presentation was also made in which students were made aware of the different kind of safety measures to be adopted. The responsibility of teachers in creating awareness among students was also highlighted. The programme was attended by the Principal Esther William, RTO Jammu, Arvind Kotwal, ARTO Jammu Kuldeep Singh, ARTO BOI Jugal Kishore Sharma, Motor Vehicle Inspectors, Sunil Cannie, Surinder Kumar besides students and staff members of the institution. The officers of the Motor Vehicles Department also explained to the students the need for observing of Road Safety in wake of the rising accidents. The information material pertaining to road safety was also distributed among the students. The principal of the school . Esther William also addressed the gathering and emphasized on adherence to safety norms and importance of the road safety awareness. Vote of thanks was presented by Coordinator of the School, S.K.
