Non-declaration of list of selected candidate for post of Hindi Translator by CUJ | Declare result within week, Court to University Authorities | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 4: Disposing of a petition filed by a candidate seeking declaration of result for the post of Hindi Translator, the high court directed the authorities of Central University of Jammu (CUJ) to declare the results within a period of one week. The writ petition was filed by Sushma Devi, wife of Dheeraj Kumar, who had applied for the post of Hindi Translator, which was advertisement by CUJ on September 2, 2013. But even after conducting written tests and interview, the university authorities have not declared the results. Three candidates had appeared for written test and interview conducted by the University for two posts of Hindi Translator. Earlier, on September 30, Justice Bansi Lal Bhat had disposed of the petition and directed the University to declare the result. "Petitioner (candidate) claiming to be eligible in all respects for the post, is aggrieved of non-declaration of the result for the position of Hindi Translator despite the fact that the result in this regard of other streams have been declared by the CUJ. It is contended that even the candidate's RTI application has not been replied", the court order read, adding that in view of short question involved, it would be futile to keep the petition on board. "I deem it appropriate to dispose of the petition by providing that the authorities concerned shall declare the result within a period of one week from the date the copy of this order was served upon the CUJ", Justice Bhat directed the CUJ authorities and said that compliance report in this regard should be reported to the registry of this court. |
