NHPC extends relief to flood affected valley

Jammu, Oct 4 : In the wake of unprecedented flood that hit the state of Jammu and Kashmir recently, NHPC as a responsible Corporate Citizen has taken various initiatives for mitigating the sufferings of the flood victims of valley and standing with the Government Machinery hand in hand. One Truck Load of water bottles, eatables and medicines was sent to Anantnag District on 16/9/2014 by NHPC, Dulhasti Power Station Kishtwar for the flood victims in Kashmir valley.
Kishanganga Project of NHPC located in Bandipora District has deployed 02 Dewatering Pumps from 19/9/2014 having capacity of 3000 liters per minute for removal of water from the flood affected areas. Besides, NHPC has also deployed 30 skilled Electricians and helpers along with 02 Senior Officers for restoration of Power Lines along with J&K PDD Officials to help restore normalcy for people at Srinagar since 19/9/2014.
