Secretary HUDD visits Kathua, Samba 10/4/2014 10:44:15 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Oct 4: Secretary to Government Housing and Urban Development Department visited district Kathua and Samba to check cleanliness drive launched under Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan by Directorate of Urban Local Bodies Jammu. According to press release, all the Chief Executive officers/Executive Officers of various Municipal Councils/Committees of Jammu Division have been instructed by the Director Urban local Bodies Jammu to continue the cleanliness drive throughout the month in all the towns of Jammu Division. As a follow-up for making the cleanliness drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan successful, Satesh Nehru Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department accompanied with K.L.Khajuria Director, Urban Local Bodies Jammu visited the Municipal Committees of District Samba & Kathua to check the, measures being adopted for cleaning the roads, lains/drains, market places, offices and residential premises. On spot directions were issued to CEOs/EOs for making the mission successful by adopting the steps such as, Registration of volunteers/ NGOs who will help in fulfilling the mission of Swachch Bharat, Constitution of Ward/Mohalla Committees in the MCs for Swachch Bharat Campaign, Constitution of six to eight members team of volunteers/employees/Safiakaramcharis and deputing them in different wards/locations/towns/MCs for the cleanliness drive.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
