Navratra festival concludes at Ramnagar | | | Ramnagar, Oct 4 : The Nine-day long Navratra festival at Historic Mata Pingla Devi Ji Chabutra, Ramnagar concluded here today in a glittering function organised by Akhand Jyoti Committe, Ramnagar. A large crowd of more than ten thousand (10,000) was present to witness the concluding day celebration of Navratra festival. The mega event started with the Aarti of Mata Pingla Devi Ji, thereafterVinay Jandial (Secretary Akhand Jyoti Committe, Ramnagar) threw light on the 27 years of glorious history of Akhand Jyoti Committee Ramnagar and various social and cultural events with which committee has been associated since its inception by late.O.P Jandial .After this local artists, students drawn from various private and government schools presented mesmerizing performances. The main event was the Final of the Dance competition in which first prize was won by Anju, while the runners up were Sachin Sharma & Aayushi Goswami. The third prize was jointly bagged Bhavya Mahajan from Udhampur and Saloni Bandral of Ramnagar. The dance performance of two sisters Prikshita & Ipshita Thialia and Aman Group was highly applauded by the gathering. The Chief guest on the occasion wasDeep Raj (KAS, SDM Basantgarh) while the guset of honour was Dr. Kavita Pandoh (Tehsildar, Ramnagar). The other dignitaries present on the occasion wereShiv Abrol (AEE, PHE), Dr Rajesh Gupta (BMO, Ramnagar) andDeepak Pathania (SHO, Ramnagar).The Chief guest on the occasion,Deep Raj while speaking on the occassion congratulated Akhand Jyoti Committe, Ramnagar for organising such a great event and thus providing platform to younger generation. He emphasised that social organisations should come in front and organise such social functions at large as such functions help to strengthen the cultural fabric of the society and communal harmony in the country.The awards were presented jointly by Deep Raj (SDM) ,Dr Kavita Pandoh &Deepak Pathania to the winners of Dance competition.The Annual OP Jandial Sadhbhawna Purskaar on the occasion was presented to Haemophillia Society, Jammu by the Chief Guest. The award was received by Rohit Jandial, President of the society. The award carries cash prize, citation and certificate of honour. The function concluded with the honoring of students who have succeeded in prestigious Kashmir Adminstrative Services were honored by the Akhand Jyoti Committe, Ramnagar and have secured distinctions in the Matric and Hr. Sec. part-2 examinations. |
