Jammu, Oct 4: Security forces in a joint operation achieved success by effecting recovery of a large quantity of arms and ammunition besides UBGL grenades and AK ammunition from a terrorist hideout in general area of Sukhni Nalluh Jai Chinta in Bhaderwah of mountainous district Doda today. "On specific information Police in association with column of 4 Rashtriya Rifle (RR) launched a joint search operation at Sukhni Nallah Jai Chinta area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bhaderwah of Doda, police sources said. "During search operation troops busted a hideout used by terrorists in the past, police said, adding, "recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition including 17 UBGL Grenades, 02 Magazines AK 47, 256 Ammunition of AK 56, 15 rounds Ammunition of PIKA Gun, 02 Pistol 9mm (Look like Indian), 03 Chinese Hand Grenades, 02 Wireless Set, one Walkie Talkie, 04 HMG ammunition, 10 rounds Sniper ammunition blankets, clothing and utensils, one coin Currency SA and 02 Islamic Literature Book. "This is a major milestone achieved by District Police and RR unit and is a serious setback to anti-national elements and will certainly prove detrimental to revival of militancy in the area, spokesperson added.In this regard case FIR No.151/2014 u/s121,122 RPC, 3/25, 7/25 A/Act stands registered at Police Station Bhaderwah. |
