1500 Anganwari centres being converted into crèches 10/4/2014 10:47:28 PM JAMMU, Oct 4 : As many as 1500 Anganwari Centres are being converted into crèches in Jammu and Kashmir State. This was revealed by the Mission Director Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) Dr. Ghulam Nabi Itoo at a meeting convened to review the functioning of the department at Jammu today. The meeting was informed that due to recent flood, the ICDS sector suffered damages to the tune of Rs. 9 crore in the state. The construction of around 300 anganwari centres would be undertaken in near future in the state, the meeting was told.
