Jammu, Oct 4 : Police today arrested person and recovered 40 kgs poppy straw from his possession during a naka checking at Nagrota here today. A case under NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Nagrota. "The accused has been identified as Onkar Singh of Khour, police said.
"On a specific information, Nagrota Police intercepted one truck bearing registration no JK02P-7365 at Bantalab, Jammu, police said, while adding, "on search of the vehicle, police party recovered 40 kgs Poppy Straw from the truck which the accused carrying illegally.
"Police team arrested accused on the spot and seized the truck while a case against FIR No. 274/2014 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Nagrota., police said. Meanwhile further investigation of the case is on. |
