Rajouri, Nov 5 : In different incidents, a man here today committed suicide by consuming poison while an 18-year-old girl made an unsuccessful attempt on her life.
Police sources said that over some domestic problem, Sazia Kousar, daughter of Mohammad Aslam consumed some poisonous substance and was immediately rushed to the district hospital here by her family members. She was later referred to the GMCH, Jammu, following deterioration in her condition. Aurangzeb, son of Badar Din of Chela Dhangri, Poonch, has also consumed poison at his in-laws' house at Khablan, Thanamndi. He was brought to the district hospital where he died during treatment.
Police recovered a suicide note from his pocket which said that he was taking the extreme step because he was not happy with the treatment meted out to him by his wife and mother-in-law.
His mother-in-law Diljan Begam, however, alleged that as per her daughter Aurangzeb was suffering from some mental disorders and after 5 days of marriage her daughter had left her in-laws house and since then she had been staying with her.
He had come to their house about three days back. |
