POONCH, Nov 5: Faisal clinched the junior boys' singles title after he defeated Baljeet in straight sets of 11-08, 11-08, 11-05 in the ongoing 22nd District Poonch Table Tennis Championship, here today.
Earlier, in the semifinals, played this morning, Faisal outplayed Anuj while Baljeet defeated Vishav. In the preliminary round of the competition, Vishav outplayed Aman 11-09, 11-09 and Baljeet trounced Danish 11-04, 11-06. In another match, Baljeet beat Bhanu 11-08, 11-07.
Today's matches held under the supervision of Narinder Singh (PEM). Meanwhile, general secretary of the District Poonch Table Tennis Association, Salim Bandey informed that the finals in other categories shall be played tomorrow.
