JAMMU, Nov 5: Jayesh Singh won the men's singles title in the Jammu District Table Tennis Championship which concluded today at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
In the final, played this evening, Jayesh defeated Sandeep 3-2 (09-11, 09-11, 11-09, 11-08, 11-07). The women's title clinched by Surbhi Charak after he defeated Jhanvi in another tough contest that that lasted for full five sets. The score: 11-09, 09-11, 11-08, 08-11, 11-06.
Junior boys' singles title went to Ritvik Gupta, who outplayed Manandeep 11-09, 11-08, 08-11, 08-11. In junior girls final, Jhanvi trounced Shreya Gupta 11-09, 09-11, 11-09, 09-11, 11-08.
The cadet boys' trophy bagged by Sudiksham, who outplayed Hanumant Sharma 11-09, 07-11, 11-04, 06-11, 12-10. In cadet girls final, Meghna Jain beat Iknoor Kour 11-08, 08-11, 11-09, 11-08. In veteran singles final, Sanjay Gupta defeated Jeet Raj Kalsi 12-10, 14-12, 11-09.
In the final and valedictory function, Member Legislative Council, Vijay Bakaya was chief guest, who gave away winners and runners-up trophies as also other individual prizes. |
