| Guest Lecture on Disaster Management held at MIET | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 5: An awareness lecture under the invited guest lecture series was organized on in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Model Institute of Engineering and technology (MIET) for the students of 7th & 5thsemester, Electrical.
The invited Guest, KR Suri ,Ex General Manager of Power Grid Corporation of India, Northern Region-II very candidly shared his vast repertoire of experiences and expertise related to his official responsibilities of restoring the transmission network and lines in the wake of any damage to the transmission lines during the natural calamities and disaster.
He received well deserved recognition and due appreciation for his work of restoring the Poonch transmission line which was badly damaged due to the Hailstorm last year.
His lecture was a big motivational factor for the curious students of EED who interacted with him freely and discussed many a practical aspects of power transmission. Prof. Nitin Langer, HOD.
