Drug peddler held with 113 intoxicant injections

JAMMU, Nov 5: Continuing its drive against drug peddlers particularly after the death of a teen girl due to alleged drug menace, Police today arrested a drugs peddler alongwith 113 intoxicant injections from his possession during surprise raid near Aquaf Market falling under Police Station Gandhinagar.
Police sources said, a team from Gandhi Nagar Police Station led by PSI Pawan Dogra and SHO Paramjeet Singh laid a surprise naka at Aquaf Market Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
"The team intercepted one pedestrian namely Anu Rao Dubey of 832-A, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu for his suspicious activities and during his personal f risking, police team recovered a huge consignment of 113 Injections which includes 28-Phanorgan (trade name) injections, 60-Norphin (trade name) Injections and 25-Biophae (trade name) Injections," police sources said.
They said that accused was arrested on the spot and intoxicant consignment also was seized.
A case against FIR No. 244/2014 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at concerned police station and further investigation is on.
