Udhampur, Nov 5 : The last date for filing nomination papers for the first phase of polls for six assembly seats in erstwhile Doda district ends today .On the last date of filling of nomination in erst while Doda district today sitting MLA'S , Ministers and politicians from different political parties file their nomination papers on Wednesday.
Those who filled nomination for six assembly constituencies which include Kishtwar , Inderwal , Doda , Bhaderwah , Ramban and Banihal falling within erstwhile Doda district are Former minister for home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo from Kishtwar , PWD minister Abdul Majid wani from Doda , MLA Bhaderwah Mohmed Sharief Naiz ,Suneel Sharma and Neelam Langeh of BJP from Kishtwar and Ramban constituencies .
According information from district election officers total 70 candidates have filled nominations for six assembly constituency falling in erstwhile Doda district which include Kishtwar , Doda and Ramban district .Out of which 14 are from Doda 14 from Bhaderwah , 11 from Kishtwar , 13 from inderwal and 09 each from Ramban and Banihal constituencies . Polls for 06 assembly seats of erstwhile Doda district will be held along with other 09 assembly constituencies of state on Nov 25 in the first phase of the five-phased assembly elections.
A total of over 72 lakh voters will cast their franchise at 10,005 polling stations in the state this year. Out of these, 6,250 polling stations have been categorised as hypersensitive and sensitive. |
