Jammu, Nov 29: GLS Public School, Amar Colony, Gole Gujral Road, Jammu celebrated annual sports day today.
According to press release, the events started in the morning after Morning Assembly at 9am and culminated at 3pm. The staff and the management emphasized on the importance of physical activities and encouraged that every single student must participate.
During the day, students of all classes participated in Games and Sports competitions like Athletics, Volley Ball, Badminton, Kho Kho, Tug of War, Musical Chair, Sack Race, Lemon Spoon Race, 3 Legs Race, Frog Race, etc.
The school gives quite a lot of value to physical activities, games and sports and in order to ensure that every student, even from the weaker section, must participate, the school provides sports equipment to every student.
The school also holds indoor games like Carrom, Chess, Scrabble and other mind games and word games, along with lot of more games for kindergarten students.
Second half of the day on every Saturday has been assigned for various indoor and outdoor games. |
