| Middle aged man stabs his wife, arrested | | | | Samba, Nov 29: A middle aged man, in a bid to kill his wife, stabbed her with a sharp edged weapon over trivial issue at their residence here in Raya of Samba district on Saturday. As per police sources, some locals of Raya heard the hue and cries of the woman in their neighbourhood and immediately informed the police. "Soon after getting information a police team was rushed to the spot which acting swiftly shifted an injured woman to the District Hospital (DH) Samba from where observing her condition critical doctors referred her to the GMC hospital for advance treatment, sources added."Meanwhile the doctors treating her in GMC hospital informed police that the injured lady has received multiple injuries including her head, face and arm," police said and added, "after recording her statement Police identified the accused identified as SomDutt (62) s/o Gazi Ram of Raya who after executing crime have escaped from the spot." Taking prompt action the police team from Vijaypur Police Station led by SDPO VijaypurShamsher Singh Sambyal conducted raid at possible hideout of accused and arrested him. A case under section 307 RPC (for attempt to murder) stands registered against the accused. |
