| ABVP condemns youth's death; calls traffic cops looters in uniform | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 29 : Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today held a press conference at Jammu University. While addressing the media, Sandeep Sharma (ABVP President Jammu University) lambasted the Jammu traffic police authorities against the brutalities causing death of one of the engineering student and leaving the other critically injured. It is pertinent to mention here that the traffic police tried to catch two young bike riders while they were travelling towards Bhagwati Nagar leading to death of one of them. It is not for the first time but such incidents had also taken place in past and now it is the highest level of vandalism and Gunda-Raaj by cops in uniform. Sandeep Sharma (ABVP President JU) further demanded the payment of compensation to the families of the victims and demanded strict action against the defaulting cops so that such incidents would not take place in future. He further requested the CM to personally intervene in the matter and make it sure that justice is done to the families. Others who present included Bhavishya Sudan (State Executive Member) , Vikas Sharma , Mohit Attri and Binny Sharma. |
