Robotic week celebrated 11/29/2014 11:31:44 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 29 : The Robotic week in Jammu had been celebrated among schools from 24th Nov. to 29th Nov. 2014 by conducting various empowerment workshops for students and teachers in different schools like SOS Hermann Gmenier School, Gole Gujral, Jammu, MV International school, Vijaypur, Samba, JK Montessori Hr Sec School, Talab Tillo, Jammu, KC Public School, Akhnoor Road, Jammu, Maharishi Vidya Mandir School, Sainik Colony, Jammu, etc. for promoting 21st century skills and STEM education among schools and creating a unique learning experience where learners explore new horizons about robotics helping the students to adapt to 'learning by doing' practice in classroom teaching beyond robotic competitions. The students secured merit and participating certificates, medals and intelligence report for their performance in workshops and learnt to design and construct Robots by Lego Mindstrom kits by themselves and teachers were also empowered with new innovative teaching skills by learning by doing. School, Sainik Colony, Jammu for establishing Robotic Lab in the School by Techtronics Education, Gurgaon. MVM School had actively excelled in Robogenius International Olympiad organized by India Stem Foundation and supported by First and WRO which are US based NGO. This first of its kind robotic lab will help students to understand abstract concepts from their curriculum in classroom by learning by doing process and also will help students to sharpen their skills for international level robotic competitions.
