APMCC welcomes BJP manifesto, asks it to clear stand on Temples Bill | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 29 : Kashmiri Pandits today welcomed the manifesto of BhartiyaJanta Party (BJP) titled as 'Vision Document' saying BJP has responded positively to their demand of issuing a detailed blue print for KPs return and rehabilitation before elections but have regretted that the party has remained silent on the major demand of introduction of Temples Bill in the State Assembly. Kashmiri Pandits who had recently addressed an important press conference organized by All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC), the apex organization of Kashmiri Migrants working at ground level for the return and rehabilitation of the community had asked all the political parties contesting the elections to come out with a detailed blueprint regarding their stand on the dignified return of Kashmiri Pandits to Kashmir Valley before seeking their votes or KPs would use NOTA option. In a statement after a marathon meeting of the various temple management committees to discuss the manifestos of various political parties, APMCC said that Kashmiri Pandits were disappointed that all other political parties chose to ignore their demand and continued with their decades old rhetoric of dignified return of Kashmiri Pandits ignoring the six point charter of demands and the detailed blue print before elections. While other demands in our Six point charter of demands are equally important our major concern is silence of the party on Temple Bill which we hope will be addressed soon by introducing re-drafted bill with our 15 point amendments so that our efforts for last so many years are taken care of and a right signal goes across the community, said Bharati. |
