Modi to address rally in Srinagar on Dec 8 | Bigwigs likely to join party in Jammu | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 29: After addressing election rallies in Jammu, Prime Minister and the party's star campaigner, Narendra Modi is all set to address an election rally in Srinagar on December 8 amid possibility of many big wigs joining the party. Talking to Early Times BJP Kashmir media and publicity advisor, Altaf Thakur said that 'yes it is now confirmed and I would like to share with you also that Narendra Modi will address an election rally in Srinagar on December 8 at Sher-i- Kashmir cricket stadium and in this regard BJP Kashmir wing has already started preparations to welcome Modi in Kashmir.' "We are expecting more people to visit Sher-i-Kashmir cricket stadium that day to listen to Modi on that day as happened in Jammu two days back, we are beautifying Srinagar to welcome Modi ,you will see in coming days there will be new banners and hoardings of BJP and Modi across Srinagar city and at some other places too," said Altaf Thakur. He said that 'in a day or two I can tell you exactly who are joining BJP in presence of Narendra Modi and I can also tell you in exact detail who will be other leaders of BJP accompanying Modi on that day and added that they are working on many fronts to make the event successful like according to him 'we will make sure that more and more people from different parts of Kashmir would reach to Srinagar that day and listen to PM Modi and others. Sources said that BJP candidates contesting ongoing assembly elections from South Kashmir's Anantnag District, Ganderbal and Budgam in central Kashmir where BJP has more supporters in Kashmir than any other District of the Kashmir have been asked to make event successful and reach Sher-i-Kashmir cricket stadium along with their supporters to listen to PM Modi. Pertinently after assuming office of the Prime Minister it will for the first time that PM Modi who is BJP star campaigner is visiting Kashmir in connection with his party political affairs to address an election rally in support of BJP candidates of Kashmir contesting ongoing assembly elections of Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly. BJP which is eying to be part of next government of Jammu and Kashmir claims to win 44 seats of state legislative assembly and party leadership which is tirelessly working to get their goal is working on many fronts in this regard which consecutive visits of BJP stalwarts like Amit Shah, Shahnawaz Hussain, P.S.Gill, Retd Army chief V.K.Singh, Rajnath Singh to Kashmir valley. Keeping in view possible strike call of separatist factions on the day of PM Modi's visit to Kashmir it will be worthy to see if BJP would go with their programme of December 8 in Srinagar or they would shift the venue to some other place or may even cancel the programme as well. |
