Jammu, Dec 9: In the view of 35th National Games being held at Kerala from January 31-Februray 15, a joint meeting of various sports organizations and associations was held under the chairmanship of Dr Ashutosh Sharma, General Secretary J&K Olympic Association. According to spokesperson, the participants in this meeting further apprised their preparedness to chairperson and discussed their participation in detail with the authority. “It was decided to make arrangements for railway reservation for the State Contingent which likely shall leave for Thiruvandanpurm on January 26, statement said, adding, “all the secretaries of different sports associations were asked to furnish the list of selected members of their disciplines to the State Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association as early as possible. “They were also requested to conduct selection trials and submit the list of selected players for the coaching camp, it added.
Among prominent sports representatives /Secretaries of the sports associations who attended this meeting were Kuldeep Handoo Wushu (Association of J&K), Rashid Ahmed (J&K Fencing Association), Sunil Kumar (Archery Association of J&K), Dheeraj Sharma (J&K Wrestling Association), Sudhir Kumar (J&K Riffle Association), S P Singh (J&K Gymnastic Association), S Ravinder Singh (J&K Athletic Association), Varjinder Sawhney (J&K Triathlon Association), S S Gill (J&K Amateur Boxing Association), Kuldeep Gupta, Treasurer J&K Olympic Association, Sharat Chander Singh Senior Athletic Coach from J&K Police Department, HS Gill from Volleyball Association of J&K and Satish Kumar Senior Coach J&K Table-Tennis Association. |
