Jammu, Dec 9: Quarterfinals position has been cleared with the entry of GGM Science College, Government Degree College (GDC) Akhnoor, GDC Billawar, SPMR College of Commerce, GDC Paloura and GDC Kathua in the last eight stages of the inter-college men's kabaddi tournament, organised by Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu (JU) on the campus grounds, here today.
Now, the winning teams shall be playing in the quarterfinals scheduled for tomorrow at the same venue. Earlier, GDC Kathua had a narrow one-point win against Government MAM College in the pre-quarterfinals today while GDC Billawar outplayed New Age College Phinter by a comfortable margin of 42 points.
Today's matches officiated by the technical penal including Anil Sharma, Ankush Gupta, Harpreet Singh, Ankush Sarma, Keshav Singh, Gagan Kumar and Amandeep Singh.

BOXING: In men's inter-college boxing competitions, semifinals bouts took place today at boxing ring of Police Stadium, Gulshan Ground, here. The finals have been scheduled for tomorrow at the same venue from 9.30 am onwards.
