NSUI activists raged over lathi-charge; demands still unnoticed
12/9/2014 11:46:05 PM
Early Time Report

Jammu, Dec 9 : NSUI held a massive protest against State Board of technical Education, outside Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk, Jammu. NSUI had been protesting over the same concern for the last five days. Abhijot Singh, NSUI State General Secretary told that the 7 8 days protest has not brought the matter to any conclusion yet, "there has been no progress." In context of Malik's yesterday's statement, he added, "We demand a carry on system instead of the minimum requirement of 75% for further admission, so that the year spent doesn't get wasted. The Board is doing the opposite and revaluation and rechecking is not supported either. The fault is definitely theirs, because of which the students are suffering and the board is not admitting it." Yesterday the activists were humiliated by the Police and some were even injured in the lathi-charge. He further added, "We will sit on hunger strike and we will even take our appeal to Governor's House till our demands don't get approved."
