Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 26 : Alleging 'manouvered EVMs' as the root cause of BJP's sudden emergenmce in state, the Panther Trade Union (PTU) J&K a wing of Jammu Kashmir national Panthers Party (JKNPP) today said that that due to defected in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) hired from Ahamedabad ( Gujarat) and number of bogus votes in the Assembly Elections in state the Panthers Party candidates were defeated by the BJP candidates.
In a press conference held here today in Jammu State General Secretary Panther Trade Union (PTU) J&K, Sewa Singh Bali said press conference Bali said, "Due to defected Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) which were hired from Ahamedabad ( Gujarat) and a number of bogus votes during Assembly Election of J&K worked prejudicially in favour of party (BJP) and against its political rivals in the fray.
Recalling the achievements of party candidate Harsh Dev Singh from Ramnagar, PTU leader Bali said that tremendous development works were undertaken by him in Ramnagar constituency and even has best Legislature award of J&K Assembly in his credit but due to bogus vote the Panthers party candidates including Harsh Dev Singh were declared defeated due to the defected EVMs from Gujarat. He categorically mentioned that party patron Prof Bhim Singh has already taken up the matter with the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of India demanding early inquiry in the defected EVMs from Gujarat. Meanwhile PTU leader also has thanked the party workers and voters of his constituency i.e. Banihal who has done faith upon him and reaffirmed them about his resolve to fight for the cause of justice. Pertinent to mention earlier Chief Patron of Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party and Member of National Integration Council Bhim Singh during his meeting with Chief Election Commissioner of India, V S Sampath on August 20 had presented a protest letter demanding scrapping of the use of the EVMs for J&K Assembly polls in 2014.
JKNPP supremo has apprehended that the electorates in J&K had every reason to believe that EVMs being imported from Gujarat shall be manipulated and misused by the Prime Minister who himself hails from Gujarat.
Singh in his letter had questioned why Gujarat manufacturers had been chosen for this purpose and that too for J&K which has a history of rigging elections and manipulation of EVMs.
