Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 26: While the dice is still rolling in the state political corridors over the piquant situation having arisen over the government formation, certain top hierarchy in the police department seem busy in seeking handsome favours from their juniors on the pretext that they would be transferred to prime locations and would be given price postings.
Sources told Early Times a top cop who believes that he would be transferred immediately after the next government is formed in the state has framed a panel for shifting of zones of Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors to adjust his blue-eyed boys.
The top cop who is all set to be put in a cell after the next dispensation takes over the reins of the state is adjusting his own men in the areas which suit him.
According to sources, a panel of more than 20 Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors has been prepared for shifting out of their zones.
The action came soon after he got intimation from some secret sources that he would be shifted immediately.
Nearly about 100 blue-eyed Inspectors, sub-inspectors and assistant sub-inspectors have been staying put at their favourite places for more than three years in the Jammu Zone, a sympathy showered upon them by the top cops, mostly for their own comforts.
Jammu and Kashmir Police have already been on the radar for making many unprincipled moves.
This case has come up as another shocker where another top cop is busy in reshuffling and transferring his junior league before his own transfer, which is all likely to take effect after the government formation in the state.
