Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 4: Since PDP emerged as the single largest party of Jammu and Kashmir in assembly elections with 28 seats including 25 seats in Kashmir and 3 in Jammu region and BJP came out to be the second close by winning 25 seats in Jammu region only, but the Govenment formation in Jammu and Kashmir is still in limelight even after BJP is towing out all restrictions and is moving from pillar to post to form its first Government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Reliable sources said that no combination of the political parties is seen competent to make an alliance to form the Government in Jammu and Kashmir owing to the ideological difference between all the three major parties and BJP. The sources also rued that the delay in the government formation even after BJP's acceptance is because of the apprehension of PDP about its future in Kashmir which will be at risk, if PDP join hands with BJP. The sources also said that the two parties have a lot of differences in major two issues like the Article 370 and revocation of AFSPA, which is equivalent to impossible for PDP and BJP to cover up for the Government formation. Sources further said that even NC, Congress and 3 other MLA's have proposed an unfavourable support of Greater alliance with PDP for the Government formation against BJP, but PDP is still looking backward as PDP Patron and President are unable to set up their will for the perfect partner for alliance. The sources said that PDP is taking feedback from the people in the valley about the alliance.
"While the PDP is taking time to make up decision, NC is picking up all the opportunities to attract the people of valley," sources added. The sources added that while addressing workers and party activists of different districts of the Valley, Senior National Conference (NC) leader and Party General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar said that NC will stands by its commitment to solve the problems of the flood victims till their complete rehabilitation and NC will fight hard to provide relief to the flood victims and homeless people as since the inception of NC, the party has worked for the welfare of people of all three regions of the State. Sources also rued that NC aimed at PDP's political turns on alliance with BJP and claimed that PDP's only goal is to grab power and capture CM's Post in a press statement yesterday.
A senior leader of BJP told Early Times that BJP is ready for the alliance and is likely to accept the terms and conditions set by the alliance partner.
A Senior PDP leader when contacted by Early Times said that the Government formation is a bigger thing and each party has to think over each and every aspect of the other party and both the parties must have to agree with the other. He again said that the people have already given their feedbacks in the elections by casting their valuable votes so no concern of getting feedback from the people is going on.
