BJP core group leaves for New Delhi for talks with Central leadership
Hectic lobbying begins for DyCM's post

JAMMU, Jan 4:With still no headway in government formation between BJP and PDP lobbying in BJP camp has begun for the post of Deputy Chief Minister. At the same time the BJP core group has been summoned to New Delhi by Party High Command to discuss the modalities of a coalition with PDP in the state.
The Core Group members including State president Jugal Kishore Sharma, general secretary Ashok Koul, former presidents Dr Nirmal Singh and Ashok Khajuria, general secretaries Bali Bhagat and Kavinder Gupta left for Union Capital this evening to meet Party president Amit Shah, national general secretaries Ram Lal, J P Nadda and Ram Madhav.
According to sources the BJP leaders are all set to discuss the modalities of government formation with PDP but they will not compromise on certain issues which included delimitation, formation of regional councils to end the discrimination, settlement of West Pak, PoK and Kashmiri refugees issue etc.
Sources said if PDP shows disagreement with BJP's proposal the party will not show any inclination in government formation then and workout other modalities and options.
Meanwhile, hectic lobbying has begun in BJP camp for the Deputy Chief Minister's post with five leaders including MLA Bani, Dr Nirmal Singh, MLA Raipur Domana, Bali Bhagat, MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta and MLA Basholi, Ch Lal Singh are strongly lobbying for post of Deputy CM.
While Dr Nirmal Singh's supporters claims to that their leader has first claim over the post being the past president and senior leader of the Party, Bali Bhagat's supporters say that he is the second time MLA and also belongs to reserved category.
Supporters of Kavinder Gupta said that he being three times Mayor he has major claim over the post and his tenure as Mayor of Jammu was highly appreciated by the people. Lal Singh's supporters also claim that he being the two times MLA and past Cabinet Minister he is most deserving for the post of DCM and the Party should finalize his name only for the post instead of others.
Besides Chander Prakash Ganga, MLA Vijaypur has also emerged as a front runner for the post in BJP camp being the senior most leader of the Party.
