| Tussle among BJP MLAs to get plum Ministries! | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 4: Neither the PDP nor the National Conference (NC) has so far announced alliance with BJP for the formation of a coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir but the newly elected "impatience" MLAs of the BJP have started lobbying for ministerial berths. Shockingly all the 25 elected MLAs of the party have started utilizing their all resources to become ministers in the coming coalition government. All the MLAs are thinking that they are very important for the party so it would be in the interests of the party to utilize their services as minister in the new government. BJP MLAs utilizing all platforms to project themselves as potential candidates for the ministerial berths. Two days back a condolence meeting was held in the outskirts of the city to condole sad demise of a prominent citizen of the city, nearly half a dozen BJP MLAs were present in that function. Most of MLAs were trying to give an impression to the people that they would be minister in the coalition government. "I would be minister in the new government but the real question is about my department. I want a good department so that I can serve my people with dedication and commitment", one of the MLA said. Ironically, government is yet to be formed but a tussle has been going among party MLAs to plum ministries. Most of these MLAs are trying to undermine each other to give an impression that they are superior to others. Out of total 25 BJP MLAs, only 4 have experience as a legislator but all the 25 are claiming to become ministers. One of the MLA, who has not any election before becoming MLA, is claiming to be Finance and Planning minister of the state like Jammu and Kashmir. This MLA is giving impression that his becoming Finance Minister is imminent. |
