| Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 4 : Brand Ambassador of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Dr. Bharat Pathak launched Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in Jammu-Kashmir circle on Sunday and appealed people to participate in abhiyan to clean the state at Press Club Jammu. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Bharat Pathak said that the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' was launched by Prime Minister of India, Narindera Modi on the eve of birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi- October 2, 2014 to fulfill Gandhi's vision of clean India. He said that Rashtra Rishi-Nana Ji Deshmukh, founder of Deendayal Research institute way back started campaigning about Harra Bharra Saaf Suthra Gaon which focused on Personal, family and community Hygiene. He also said the campaign aimed at generating awareness and bringing about a behavioral change in people regarding healthy sanitation practices and this abhiyan will be of a great success only when individual will participate in it. He further made a plea to all the people of Jammu and Kashmir to participate in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to clean Jammu and Kashmir and make it a healthy State.
He urged the people that must clean surroundings for a healthy life and cleanliness is not only the responsibility of 'safaai karamcharis' but it is the responsibility of whole nation.
Among others who presented on the occasion were Ajay Sharma, Suhasni Vasisatha, Rakesh Sharma, Beer Singh, Sarvotam Sharma, Shreeya Bakshi, Bunty Chowdhary, Rahul Kumar, Asrar-Ul-Haq and others. |
