Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 8: To review the post election situation and discuss membership drive of the party, BJP State President Jugal Kishore Sharma, alongwith State General Secretary Org. Ashok Koul chaired a meeting of the Jammu District office bearers. The meeting was convened by District President & MLA Rajesh Gupta and was also graced by Gandhi Nagar MLA Kavinder Gupta. Jugal Kishore Sharma, while congratulating the District team for achieving splendid victory in the assembly elections, said that the record votes polled by the BJP candidates in their favour in Jammu East and Gandhi Nagar constituencies are the result of the efforts put by party activists as well as the overwhelming support of the voters who had made up their mind to teach Congress a lesson in particular on account of its scams of mind boggling magnitude and complete incompetence. He said that the next task now before the party activists is to devote time towards reaching the masses and register them as members of the party. Ashok Koul, while appreciating the role of the party activists in making party programmes successful, said that ours is a cadre based party and that is our real strength. He said that after winning record 25 seats and highest percentage of votes in the assembly elections in the state, the party cadre has now to concentrate on enlightening and making aware the public about the people friendly policies of the party and of the Narendra Modi -led government at Centre to ensure maximum membership in their respective areas. The membership is the bedrock on which party's organizational superstructure rests, Koul said. Suresh Jamwal, Yudhvir Sethi, Rajni Sethi, Pt.
