National Sikh Front seeks ban on 'Messenger of God' movie | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 8: Jammu & Kashmir National Sikh Front (NSF) has demanded from the State and Centre Government to ban the movie 'Messenger of God'. Addressing a press conference Chairman of National Sikh Front S.Varinder Jeet Singh said that Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Giani Gurbachan Singh has also written a letter to centre Govt. and Punjab Govt. to ban the movie. He said that Australia has banned the Movie throughout the country. "We have also written a letter to Information Broadcasting Minister Rajwardhan Singh Rathore and President of Central Censor Board Lalita Sampson demanding them ban on the movie. We appeal to Jammu and Kashmir Government to ban the movie", he said, adding that if the film is released, it would hurt the sentiments of Sikh community at large. "Because the hero of the movie is Baba Gurmeet Singh Ram Rahim who has earlier been involved in controversy over depicting himself as 'Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji' in a scene where he was seen in a Dress similar to that of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and also insulted the Sikh community", he added. Varinder said that 'fraud' baba has a CBI case against him in rape, fraud and murder involving him. He is also being involved in a case where he is forcefully making people impotent."Such fraudulent Baba's should be immediately sent to jail so that they cannot hurt the sentiments of someone", he added. He also appealed to the owners of cinemas in Jammu for not to showing the movie in their theatres because they themselves will be responsible for the damage in their cinemas by showing the movie. |
