mendhar, Jan 8: Eleven persons, including a 6-month-old baby, were wounded, some of them critically, in a Tata Sumo mishap at Dera near here this morning.
The ill-fated cab (JK02H/1415) was on its way from Salwa to Mendhar. The incident occurred at Dera at about 9.30 am after the cab skidded off the road and fell into a gorge, resulting in injuries to eleven commuters, police sources said.
The injured included Mohammad Razak (50), Mohammad Wasim (22), Zahida Kousar (28), Gulshan (30), Rakhmat Bi (40), Imitiaz Ahmad (6 months), Parveen Akhtar (40), Ashmat Bi (30), Tabassum Latief (19), Rubina Kousar (26) and Mukhtar Ahmad (25).
All of them were admitted to sub-district hospital, Mendhar. The condition of Wasim was said to be critical.
The rescue operation was carried out by 37 RR and local police. A case in this connection was registered at the concerned police station. |
