Sharma demands immediate relief, rehabilitation of border migrants | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 8: To express gratitude to thousands of his supporters and party workers, Former Minister and senior Congress leader Sham Lal Sharma addressed Block Congress Committee (BCC) meeting at Akhnoor. Reiterating his pledge to serve with more zest the people of Akhnoor who elected him twice their MLA, Sham Lal Sharma claimed made as one of model one and taken resolve to continue it will get completed all those works stated during his tenure to deliver the desired results. He exhorted his partymen to serve their people with refresh stamina and vigour as now the people to judge who can serve them meaningfully, earnestly and honestly. Sham Lal Sharma, demanded stable Government in Jammu and Kashmir state asked those political parties whom popular mandate has been given to form new Government to avoid political vacuum in sensitive and troubled state like ours said, PDP and BJP if enjoys the mandate should not be reluctant but perform their democratic duties to provide popular government as all developmental works are standstill need certainly popular govt to lead state forward. He said, Congress as national political party has already extended its unconditional support to PDP to enable popular government formation. Sharma showing serious concern over border tension, has demanded from central Government immediate relief and rehabilitation packages, asserted previous state Government has recommended to central Government the proposal of permanent resettlement of these border migrants who are frequently targeted by Pakistan army firings and forced to migrate to safer places. He said, central Government should make efforts to provide peace and safety on the Borders through diplomatic channels too as confrontation is no solution of any Bi-lateral disputes. Sham Sharma assured people of the Jammu that he will redouble his struggle for getting Regional Development Council for Jammu and will work for CM from Jammu to restore their dignity and honour to seek justice and their 67 years denied Rights. |
