Jammu, Jan 8: Vice-Chancellor of University of Jammu Prof R D Sharma, today released the Brochure for forthcoming Inter-University Zonal Youth Festivals to be hosted by University of Jammu.
According to press release, the festival will be organized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India from January 15 to 19.
The Brochure contains detailed information with regard to the various venues facilities and schedule of the five day youth festival. Vice Chancellor advocated that the Universities should encourage all students to participate in cultural and sports activities so that their hidden talent could be recognised.
Prof Sharma called upon the University Officials to put in their best efforts to make the forth coming youth festival a grand success. Prof also Sharma also appreciated the cooperation and support being rendered by various Govt agencies for the organisation of the Youth Festival.
Around 1000 participants from 25-30 Universities of seven states of North India are expected to take part in this mega event. Apart from this Team Managers, Judges and Officials of High Ranking are also expected to participate in this Cultural Festival. The different events will be organized in all the Auditoriums and Seminar Halls of the University of Jammu and will be witnessed by more than 4000 viewers daily from different sections of the society. This is a big opportunities for the corporate sectors and Industries of the state to showcase their products and services to the youths from different states of North India. .
Among others Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Director, DIQA, Prof Pankaj Srivastava, DSW,Prof Parmeshwari, Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Jai Kumar Sharma, Special Secretary to Vice-Chancellor, Prof Parikshat Manhas, Associate Dean (SW) and Director, SHTM, Ranjeet Kalra, Asst Director, ASC, Vinay Thusoo, Public Relations Officer and Scintilla were also present. |
