Statement on misappropriation of union funds recorded 2/9/2015 12:23:56 AM Early Times Report Kishtwar, Feb 8 : Chairman Chinar Power Projects Workers Union (CCPPWU) Joginder Bhandari got recorded his statement before the Deputy Superintendent of Police HQ Kishtwar against Javed Zargar ,General Secretary Chenab Hydro Power Projects Workers Union for his alleged involvement in mis-appropration of union funds collected from the workers of Dulhasti H.E Project Kishtwar and Baglihar H.E Project Chanderkot , thereafter utilization of same for his personal use. As per the statement recorded before the DSP HQ Kishtwar, Joginder Bhandari Chairman CPPWU said that Javed Zargar General Secretary Chenab Hydro Power Projects Workers Union (CHPPWU) was working as a plumber with M/S Jaiprkash Associates Ltd.at Dulhasti H.E Project Kishtwar in the year 1998 and he was retrenched in the year 2002. The statement added that when the workers of Dulhasti H.E Project were retrenched, a mass protest was held at Kishtwar in support of roll back of the workers in the project.Bhandari in his statement said that Javed Zargar led the workers and assured them that retrenched workers will be compensated under labour law from the said executing contractor and by doing so he managed to gain the confidence of the workers and started collecting Rs.2000 to Rs 3000 from each worker as token fee for reinstatement into the rolls of M/s Jaiprakash Associates Ltd,thus collected huge money.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
