Deptt of Buddhist Studies JU celebrates annual day 2/9/2015 12:40:25 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 8: Department of Buddhist Studies University of Jammu, in collaboration with All Kargil Student Association Jammu (AKSAJ) organised 18th Annual Day function under the theme "Women Empowerment" at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu. The event showcased the rich cultural heritage of Kargil. AlhajAsgarKarbaliae was the Chief Guest of the event. He delivered an eloquent speech in which he stressed the students of Kargil pursuing their studies in Jammu not to get education just for the sake of degree and job but for spreading the message of communal harmony, national integrity and humanity for which the people of Ladakh are known for centuries. He assured to fulfill all the genuine demands of the student community in whatsoever possible way he can. He encouraged them to overcome all the hurdles by their sheer determination, perseverance and never to say die attitude. Professor R. D Sharma Vice Chancellor University of Jammu was the Guest of honour.
