Over 1500 people visit "SEEDS OF HOPE" | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 8: Madan Dogra an eminent environmentalist and Member State Appraisal Committee, Ministry of Environment, Govt. of India was the guest today at the SEEDS OF HOPE "Visions of Sustainability, steps towards change" an exhibition that was attended by over 1500 people today at Kala Kendra, Jammu. Seema Ahuja along with BSG leaders took the guest around to explain the significance of the exhibition. The exhibition will go on till 13th February 2015. While penning down his views Mr. Dogra remarked that, "it was an excellent way to educate people regarding improvement in the system." This award winning exhibition is being brought to India through the joint efforts of the Bharat Soka Gakkai, the Indian arm of the SGI and Earth Charter International. There are a total of 48 Panels, 24 English and 24 Hindi Panels including a blank panel with a tree design. This blank panel has been designed so that the people can think of their own ideas and/ or promises. The exhibition shows how environmental issues and other problems such as poverty and conflict are interlinked. Each panel has an inset with a cute or interesting animal to increase the attraction for children and adults. The beautiful photographic Panels along with the expressions of Eminent world leaders successfully ignite the feelings Empowerment and taking individual responsibility towards bringing about a change in ourselves, our communities, cities, countries and then the universe at large. |
