Sri Guru Gyagi Ji's birth anniversary celebrated | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 8: The 118th birthday of Sri Guru GyagiJi was today celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety. Large number of Batwal community members in colourful dresses, participated in the function organised at Bahu Fort here, today by the Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association. Association Election Commissioner Dr Ramesh Kumar Kaith while speaking on the occasion highlighted the secular aspect and universal character of Guru Ji giving references of global brotherhood and oneness of the mankind. He said that the ideology of Guru Ji is an inspiration and guiding force for all religions and sections even in the present times. He also stressed upon the need to follow the footsteps of ideology of Gugu Ji. Association General Secretary RL Kaith said that the quality education to the children among the Batwal community is the most important. Facility need to be provided to ensure that the talented children achieve full potential and grow to become top professionals and administrators. He emphasized for eradication of social evils prevalent in the Batwal community, which have not only weakened it but also created a sense of inferiority complex and inadequacy in its members. |
