Residents of Thathri urge CM to intervene into road dispute issue 12/15/2016 11:01:01 PM Early Times Report Doda, Dec 15: The public of villages Joura Kalan, Budhi, Kunthal & Lower Shamdlian of Tehsil Kahara (Thathri) Doda has appealed the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to personally intervene into the Kahara-Jai road dispute which is lingering on since 2009. As per press release, the people said that an inquiry committee headed by Divisional Commissioner Jammu was constituted by Chief Secretary J&K government in 2012 but the members of the committee never visited the site themselves personally so for and they submitted their report to higher authorities, prepared by the same lower level officers of R&B, PMGSY & Forest departments who had originally committed the irregularities & against whom the public had complained. They alleged that the 2007 survey by R&B Sub-division Gandoh was from Kahara to Joura comprising a distance of 16 kms. The 2011 Survey conducted by R&B division Bhadarwah was in opposite direction i.e from Jai to Joura Khurd comprising a distance of 9 kms as per the committee report.
